Brother MFC-9560cdwThe Brother MFC-9560cdw Color Laser printer is a powerful all-in-one machine, comes fully equipped with wireless networking option, automatic duplexing for two-sided print, fax, copy or scan and an USB port built in. This printer is capable of high volume printing, offering a large paper capacity of three hundred sheets or eight hundred sheets if used with the optional tray, as well as the option to upgrade to higher-yield toner cartridges.

The MFC-9560cdw can be used by both Windows and Mac OS X systems through a hard line hookup or via WIFI using an Ethernet cord. For a Mac, the MFC connects to the network through an Apple Airport Express Base Station.

The MFC needs a space of sixteen inch width by nineteen inch diameter to set upon, as well as a buffer zone of four inches on the sides and ten inches in the back to promote proper air flow. With the lid raised, the height of the unit is expanded by four inches. The MFC-9560cdw weighs fifty-eight pounds.

Once connected, the computer should automatically sense the drivers needed for the MFC and install them accordingly by downloading them from the Internet. On some older computers or those without internet, this may not work correctly but the MFC includes a DVD with the drivers on them as a solution. The installation cd contains an optional iPod/iPhone and scanning application for ease of use. After installation, the simplest way to setup the printer is to connect it to an available wireless network through the automatic wireless mode option. This option enables the printer to automatically detect the settings it needs to connect to the wireless network correctly.
Copying is handled completely from the printer interface, by lifting the scanning glass, placing the document face down and pressing the button to copy. Options to support the copying feature include contrast, adjusting size and lighting, etc. The lid is hinged which enables the all-in-one printer to handle copying books as large as two inches with relative ease. Scanning is managed through the connected computer, through the image application that comes with the printer. Scanning can be handled wirelessly or otherwise, and scans in at a max of twelve hundred dpi for black & white documents. Faxing is relatively standard and comes with several different kinds of reports to accompany the feature.

The Brother MFC9560cdw comes with instruction manuals, an installation cd, power cord and telephone cable for the fax feature. Toner cartridges are already installed but the printer does not come with an Ethernet or USB cable. The Brother MFC-9560cdw All in-One Color Laser printer measures comparably with models of similar pricing but its wireless and USB capabilities really push it above and beyond the pack.
